All photos taken with an Olympus Mju II. I know nothing about the film rolls or developing process. I just point and shoot, hand the roll of film to Juwan, and hope for the best.
Places of Worship
I’ve always been enamored by the different spaces people create for worship, sometimes you walk in one and you can tangibly feel all the emotions that have been poured into a space, almost like the opposite of a place feeling haunted. Sometimes you walk in and feel love, or grief, or community.
People Watching
I’m also guilty of waiting until everyone walks away to get a good shot of a building or scenery with no one in it, but I’ve actually come to find that my favorite pictures I take are when I accept that people are a part of the scenery. The world is filled with interesting characters each telling a story of their own. This is also a compilation of me yelling at my friends, “wait! don’t move! you look so cute!” or me catching a quiet candid of my beloved in his element (taking his own pictures)
