Hello, I’m Juwan, the Satsuma in C&S! I am a (very) amateur photographer and sort of professional diplomat. I was never a very artistic person throughout my life, but always admired the joy pursuing art brings to my wonderful spouse, Nadia. A few years ago I started dabbling in analog photography and got hooked immediately! This was the first artistic medium that I’ve really taken to and that has scratched the part of my brain I assume others feel when creating things. I love how it makes me slow down, look at the world differently, and take in my surroundings with more thought throughout our travels. This platform is primarily for me to reflect further upon images I’ve captured and post my hard fought for pictures somewhere other than instagram where they will be compressed to oblivion. Notes: I edit my photos very minimally if at all (usually a crop or very minor correction here or there). I don’t do this for money, so I believe strongly that imperfections in my photos should speak for themselves. I shoot with the following cameras and will mark what was used where I’m able:
