Nadia Khansa has been reckoning with grief since fleeing Lebanon during the 2006 war with Israel as a child. In October 2023 when the genocide against Palestinians escalated and war once again expanded across the region, life has been defined by grief, anger, and hopelessness.
Yet, as a psychotherapist, and as someone who is inspired by their people's persistent resilience, Khansa has begun to explore their relationship with hope in times of intense injustice. This collection is a journey of art and poetry as Khansa processes different stages of grief and trauma while trying to find their own relationship to strength, hope, and dreams for the future.
